Introduction
Mohamad wanted a website to show his hair salon shop front designs and internal fit out to shopping centre management.
With a new hair salon opening in Roselands, to compliment the Miranda salon that was already operating, Mohamad came to us asking for a new website. He just wanted a website to show a gallery of images showing the shop fit out.
We convinced him to promote his hair colour packages and hair services on the website and he’s now glad we did!
Challenges
The website had to promote both stores in Roselands and Miranda, as well as be able to accommodate any future store openings.
The content had to speak to shopping centre management as well as potential customers as there are many different hair colour packages on offer. Flyers had also been printed and the information needed to be put onto the website.
The website had to showcase the shop fit out and hair packages available for customers.
Solutions
Promote each store with its own page using keywords that are being typed in by customers. Have a gallery page to show off the shop fit our and entrance to be viewed by shopping centre management. Include the flyer into artwork on the website.
Process
A website was built that promoted each hair colour package separately on individual packages. This allowed for a detailed description so the customers could see what was included. The printed flyer was also integrated as artwork. Both store locations have their own page with room for more locations to be added at a later date, if needed. A professional photographer was appointed and the images taken placed in a gallery page for shopping centre management to view.
The Results
The website was made live on 16th April, 2020 – right in the middle of Covid19 lockdown. Hair salons were allowed to continue trading as they were seen as an essential service. Shopping centres were bare…but this website had 81 hits in the first 30 days. Customers were looking for a hairdresser to use. The idea that started as just a gallery for management grew into a website that features on the front page of Google search for hairdresser Roselands and Miranda.
This website continues to perform strongly as seen on this graph and the customer base has grown the fledgling businesses.
Summary
Your website is usually the first time a prospective customer sees your business. It is what makes them decide to contact you or go into your store. It must portray what your business represents and be easy for the reader to understand and navigate.
Grow your business with a website that has keywords that your customers are typing in to find you.
What our client had to say…
I originally just wanted a website to show shopping centre management our shop designs but we’ve had a big increase in customers as well. When the website was finished it had twenty pages promoting all our different colour, treatment and straightening services. It also shows our current two locations at Roselands and Miranda and I can add to this as we expand. Strathfield Web Design did all the content and even organised a photographer to come to the salons for photos. The whole process was very quick with good communication.
